Mount Highlights
Depending on your needs, Cloud Defensive is confident we have a mounting option for you. Here, we will discuss a few key differences between the mounts that we offer. Please keep reading below to see individual features of each of the mounts we have on our site. The Torrent Inline M-LOK® mount is a very traditional mount which acts as a direct mounting option for your light. Instead of requiring a rail section to be added to you M-LOK® rail, you can use this mount. To provide the highest level of supporting structure, this mount should be attached in a way that it does not have any portion hanging off the rail. If it hangs off the rail, it does run a risk of being bent under pressure. The Inline mount plays well with most IR devices including the B.E. Meyers MAWL, L3 PEQ-15, L3 NGAL, Steiner DBAL and many others.
The Torrent Offset M-LOK® mount is one of the strongest mounts that we offer. This mount is normally attached to the rail at the 3 O’clock or 9 O’clock position and holds the light around the 1:30 and 10:30 positions, respectively. There are unique mounting options with this that make it a possibility for use with the previously mentioned IR devices as well. The Torrent SBR M-LOK® is designed to accomplish a few things. It typically mounts at the 3 O’clock and 9 O’clock position and holds the light at a similar angle as the Offset. However, it pushes the light body forward about 1”. This allows the end user to retain as much open rail space behind the light as possible for added grip room and added room for more items mounted on the rail. Ideally, this mount is also set to be supported by the rail like the Inline mount. The SBR mounts also have a unique attachment style to the light body. Please see the pictures above and the user manual to see how this works.
The Torrent SBR Picatinny is designed to push the light body forward and in fact uses the same body attachment style as the SBR M-LOK® but mounts to Picatinny instead of M-LOK®. It provides the user with the ability to mount the light tighter to the rail on a Quad rail setup. You can run this mount on the top rail, hanging to the left or right of the rail. Or you can run this on either side rail pushing the light up and in towards the barrel.
