NOTICE REGARDING BROKEN HINGE HOOKS on BATTERY COVERS/SWITCH CAPS for X300 Series Surefire lights:  We inspect each light to ensure that the hinge hooks aren’t broken prior to shipping it out. And considering how well-protected the light is in the factory package, and how shielded the hinge hooks are on the top rear of the light, it’s unlikely that they can possibly get broken in transit to you.  If you find that the hooks on your light are broken, it’s must likely due to user-error, e.g. after opening the cover to remove the battery shield, it is forced closed with the hooks not fully engaged on the metal cross-pin.  We (BORESIGHT SOLUTIONS) will no longer provide battery door replacements. If your battery door hinges are broken, you must contact Surefire to arrange replacement. Â
